Seriously Google!

So today as any other normal day I go to login to my G+ page and I see " Your profile was suspended because it violates our spam policies."

Then there is a take action button beside it, so I click to send my profile in for review.

There is no explanation given, how, why, what?  I know I'm not a spammer, with recent events I have rarely posted at all. So what is the issue? The only reason I'm able to get into my blog at all is by signing in through a limited blogger account.

I have waited all day with no result, no response. I write my blog to help people including myself. I don't spam, if occasionally I post something twice it is by mistake.

So my question to any and all of you is this, what would be the best site to move my blog to? I'm thinking of moving and also paying to have it self hosted so I don't have to deal with this again.

Thank you in advance for your answers. I'm not going to type anymore since I've been biting my tongue through this entire post.

Update:  Today the message was changed, I am not in violation of a spam policy I am in violation of a name policy so I had to send a request in to confirm my name. Now I'm waiting for my name to be reviewed. I have a headache and apparently no idea of who I am or how to use certain social media. On the flipside I have realized how little control I do have of my blog and content and perhaps this has given me a wake up call. I have only been blogging a few months and still have plenty to learn but it's time I learn on my own terms on a place to be determined. I will update you when I figure that out as I'm still dealing with the loss of my parents, my health issues, other family issues and trying to enjoy time with my grandchildren while they are out of school for the summer.

Update July 4, 2013: Happy Independence day everyone!

The status of my G+ account is the same today as two days ago. I was asked to send in links to other accounts to prove I am me. I'm waiting to hear back. I find it all a little odd, the people I'm dealing with are younger than me, I'm older than G+! I feel like pulling out my AARP card and showing it to them and saying hey look I'm just a little ole lady trying to post to my blog. Don't quote me on that, I won't admit to being old, or an AARP member ever again!

Time to get off here and go do real world things, I hope you all enjoy your day with your families.

Update July 6, 2013: I hope you all had a happy holiday!

Ours was a quiet day, our family was spread out all over the country this weekend. We went to a movie, had a quiet dinner and enjoyed the fireworks. It was a hot day 90 degrees too hot to spend a lot of time outside. Our poor dog is terrified of fireworks, all in all it was a pretty good day. I will add a couple of pictures later.

The latest on my Google + account? Well there is nothing to report, I am still under review. I have a suggestion though for Google. Google me! I did, I found my Facebook page, and all kinds of other pages I use with my name on them. I did this in under five minutes. I am on day five I think it is with no Google + account. You would think common sense would dictate that people in control of G+ accounts would Google me like I did, it's not that hard! As they say "common sense isn't common anymore."

I'm kind of sad, it took me a month to figure out what a "circle" was, a hangout? I'm still not sure,  the little bell with notifications? I just figured out that's where all your posts come from. Hey don't worry I can still see what you're posting, you just can't see me! I figured out after three months what a +1 meant and just last month how to put a + along with your names. It seems a shame for them to take all my hard work away from me when they can just Google me to find out I'm me, which I have known all along!

Well, I'm off to enjoy the rest of the weekend and will keep up with you in my other accounts with places that know who I am, before I end up suffering from an identity crisis.

Have a great weekend!

UPDATE: Who knows what number now:

This is what came in my email today!

"Hello,

After reviewing your appeal, we have determined that your name does not comply with the Google+ Names Policy.

We want users to be able to find each other using the name they already use with their friends, family, and coworkers. For most people this is their legal name, or some variant of it, but we recognize that this isn't always the case, and we allow for other common names in Google+ --- specifically, those that represent an individual with an established online identity with a meaningful following. If you haven't already done so, you can provide us with additional information regarding an established identity by re-submitting an appeal that includes references to where you are known by this name either in online or offline settings.

Note that if you're trying to set up a page for a business, band, group, or other organization, please sign up with your own name and then create a Google+ Page. If you're trying to add an alternate name (such as a nickname, maiden name or name in another script), please sign up with your full name; you can add this alternate name (which will appear alongside your full name) once you've signed up.

You may re-appeal with additional information, if you have not already done so. If you're already using Google+, your current name will continue to be used.

The Google+ team".

I am beyond confused! I am using my name, I sent in an appeal with all the information to all my other accounts that I use my name in and they still don't think I'm me!
I'm trying to send in a second appeal now, I keep getting an error message on every send. I've about given up hope and am ready to just delete my G+ profile and move on to a service where people treat you like human beings. I will let you know if and when I find one. thanks for your support!

UPDATE: I forget the date.

As you can see, I have my G+ back. It took a little over a week, I logged on and there it was. A day later an email came saying something to the effect of  "you were right, your name does comply, etc etc." Sorry for any inconvenience this caused you. That's the short of it anyway, so my account is back to normal, like I said I knew all along I was me.   :)

  1. sorry you are having problems. I am on self-hosted wordpress and while I love being self-hosted, I do not enjoy the recent spam attack I've been under. For some reason, Norton thinks I"m a malicious site because I tried to run a giveaway for my first blogaversary. I'm trying to get it fixed and re-classed but all these security precautions I take and I'm still falling victim to hackers with nothing better time on their hands than to attack my tiny piece of the internet. In the meantime, thanks for visiting. I can assure you I"m not malicious or a spammer either :) Hope you get it straightened out!

    1. Oh no! That makes me mad and sad at the same time, I'm on day two of this situation with no answers and really no person to contact for an answer. I hope you get your issues resolved, I know you're neither malicious or a spammer either. I better bite my tongue again before I say anything else and get myself into trouble :) Thanks for dropping by and commenting!

  2. I've seen two posts on G+ from you in he last two weeks and that's spam? I'm wondering if someone hacked your account sweetie and was sending private messages. I've had i happen to friends on Twitter and FB.
Or...I read an article couple of days ago about how G is changing the way their servers look at links. Too many links in a blog post equals spam and it could suspend you from the search engine rankings. But it didn't say a thing about your account. As a matter of fact, the article said you wouldn't even know when i happened, just a drop in traffic.
Perhaps some kind of hack job from the blog hop?
Whatever it is, I am so sorry this is happening!

    1. Thanks Chris! I have no clue what's going on, I have barely been on here. I will have to look for the article you are talking about. There is nothing in the thing to tell me why or what my account is suspended for. Nothing to tell me how to fix it, no person to contact and I have to sit here and wait till they get around to me. Like I don't have enough stress in my life right now. I better be quiet, I might say something! I need to go find someone or something that can lead me to someone in the "chain" of people to get things fixed. I'm still likely going to move my blog either way. Thanks for stopping by and hey have a happy holiday week!

  3. Hi, I'm a new follower from the Friday hop. That's awful :( I remember having the same misunderstanding with Google but with Adsense, they said I violated something but they weren't specific! All my earning were put to waste! I tried to dispute but they wouldn't reply at all,so I actually know how you feel. I'm still with blogger though. A lot of friends suggest Wordpress.

I'd love it if you can follow me back :)

    1. Thanks for the follow, I stopped by to follow you back! I'm getting a reply now but nothing that's making sense. they don't think I'm me, even though I know I'm me. It's a bit confusing that is for sure! I will check into WP. Have a great week!

  4. That is the craziest thing I have ever seen. So glad that Google finally figured out who you were. I hope I never have this issue. UGH.
