WEGO Health Activist Writers Challenge Day 21 (Adversity, bloomin flowers?)
This is the prompt for today “The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all.” – Mulan True or false? When do you bloom best"
I will admit these last few prompts have been difficult, anxiety attack anyone? Am I a flower? Do I bloom? I think of a flower as being something pretty and delicate. I don't think that applies to me!
I had to ignore my brain and look at the word adversity and go from there, if I hadn't this post would be blank! So let's think of what the "Adversity" caused by RA, Lupus, Sjogren's and Raynauds has done. It has made me stronger emotionally, I have more patience, I am calmer, (unless I'm writing posts like these.) I deal with most situations head on. I have learned how to stand up for myself and say no.
When do I bloom best? I would say when I'm happy, when my pain is low, I'm not in a complete flare. Maybe I have slept the night before, there are no major stresses going on that day. Winter is over, I can take a walk, enjoy the warm weather. Everyone around me is calm, happy and healthy.
